Nth Degree Therapy is a private clinic and doesn’t bill OHIP for its services.

Ontario does provide publicly funded physiotherapy through approved clinics for certain eligible patients, including people aged 65 or older, people aged 19 or younger, Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Program recipients, and some patients following a hospital stay or eligible surgery.

No. You can book most services at Nth Degree Therapy without a doctor’s referral.

However, some extended health insurance plans require a referral before they’ll reimburse treatment costs. Since every plan is different, check with your insurance provider before booking.

Your first appointment will take place in a friendly, relaxed environment and will include a one-on-one assessment with your practitioner.

They’ll review your health history, discuss your symptoms and goals, and complete a physical assessment when appropriate. Your practitioner will explain their findings, answer your questions, and outline a recommended care plan.

Depending on your condition and the service booked, treatment may begin during the first appointment. You may also receive exercises or practical strategies to follow between visits.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows your practitioner to assess and treat the area of concern.

Depending on the service and your symptoms, they may also need to assess nearby areas of the body. Shorts, a tank top, or athletic clothing may be helpful.

If you forget appropriate clothing, the clinic has laundered gym clothing available to borrow.

We require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. A late cancellation fee may apply when less than 24 hours’ notice is provided.

Yes, the clinic is accessible to people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Please contact us before your visit if you have specific accessibility needs or questions about the building.

Recovery timelines vary depending on your condition, how long symptoms have been present, your overall health, your activity demands, and how you respond to care.

Your practitioner will discuss what you can reasonably expect and review your progress throughout treatment. Some people notice changes early, while others require more time and ongoing rehabilitation.
